The map, by Smoky Mountain.com, predicts that there might be a chronic colour season for fall leaves, and an earlier-than-typical peak fall, with larger elevations of the US peaking first. And apart from the Pacific Northwest, the creator of the maps says we expect hotter-than-common fall temperatures throughout the September by means of November time interval. The interactive fall foliage map, pictured right here operating from now till the tip of October, predicts that there might be a chronic colour season for fall leaves, and an earlier-than-typical peak fall, with larger elevations of the US peaking first. Darker pink areas characterize peak fall foliage, and lighter areas characterize minimal fall foliage.
