Southlanders can get a style for the architect’s improvements at Barnsdall Art Park (4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles), which encompasses Hollyhock House.

The house, constructed between 1919 and 1921, was Wright’s first venture in L.A. The park’s web site notes that Wright drew on Southern California’s temperate local weather in his design.
